In this mock, I traded down with San Diego at #25 and picked up their 2nd round pick, because I wasn't blown away by what was available at #17, and the sweet spot in this draft is the 2-4 rounds. I later traded down from our original 2nd round pick at #48 to pick up another 3rd rounder. Then I used one of our 3rd rounders and our 6th rounder to upgrade one of our 3rd rd picks. (Whew!). I think this haul gets us good value, meets our needs and sets us up well for the season.
I really like Wesley Johnson in the 5th -- he's a ZBS guy, smart, good size, and played OT and OG at Vandy. Basically a poor-man's Zach Martin. And I think it's good to get some additional OL depth in this draft beyond the RT pick, Bitonio. As for Bitonio, apparently he stone-walled Anthony Barr head-to-head and plays like an angry beast. We could use more of that on our OL. I failed to get an ILB, but I view that as one of our lowest priority needs, and is the most likely position to be satisfied by an UDFA. We have a great track history with UDFA ILBs (Bart Scott, Jameel McLean, Josh Bynes).
