Baltimore Beatdown mock draft 7.0

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

This is it, the final seven-round mock draft before the actual one takes place this weekend.

First round, 17th overall: UNC TE Eric Ebron

Early in the offseason, I had the Ravens taking Ebron in the first round. It's all come full circle. Maybe it's a hunch or maybe I'm completely off-base. But a run on quarterbacks, tackles and receivers could emerge early. This could allow Ebron to drop, and if he's there at 17, the Ravens won't need to trade back. They'll have a prized player right here.

Second round, 48th overall: Florida DL Dominique Easley

A quick, fast and agile defensive lineman, Easley could see himself transition into Arthur Jones' roll as a three-technique lineman in Baltimore's 3-4. He has some durability issues but was one of the more explosive defenders in the SEC when healthy.

Third round, 79th overall: Utah CB Keith McGill

The Ravens are definitely high on McGill, with director of college scouting Joe Hortiz mentioning him at last week's pre-draft presser. McGill's a big, physical corner that could add competition and depth to a position that saw Corey Graham leave in free agency.

Third round, 99th overall: Towson RB Terrance West

I've had the Ravens taking West in almost every mock draft and that doesn't change here. West fits the system superbly and could be a someone that could be a long-term fit in a zone blocking scheme. He could come in handy early in the year if Ray Rice faces a suspension.

Fourth round, 134th overall: Princeton DT Caraun Reid

Here's another guy I've been high on from the start. Reid isn't as athletic as Easley is but he's got a lot of intelligence as a heady, fundamental football player. He's the type of player John Harbaugh would covet, and he's someone to keep an eye on over the weekend.

Fourth round, 138th overall: Georgia QB Aaron Murray

The Ravens want a backup quarterback and get a steal in taking Murray in the fourth round. He's the SEC's most prolific passer, though he's coming off an ACL tear. Still, he can make every throw and played in a complicated multiple offense at the University of Georgia.

Fifth round, 175th overall: Wake Forest WR Michael Campanaro

The Ravens got a big-bodied receiving option in Ebron and follow it up later with a slot guy in Campanaro. With Steve Smith only expected to be a Raven for a couple of seasons, Campanaro could be someone that learns from him before taking the slot role over.

Sixth round, 194th overall: Wisconsin S Dezmen Southward

The best available safety at this point, Southward has a lot of physical aspects to his game. He's got a big frame at 211 pounds and can hit with a lot of power.

Notes: I'm aware I didn't take a tackle. It just didn't work out in this mock draft, which I once again did with FanSpeak's simulator. I fully expect the Ravens to take a tackle at some point. I also expect some moves to where they wind up with more than eight picks when it's all said and done.
