Hey Ravens Nation! I will be making mock drafts in the weeks leading up to the draft that have different positions taken in the first round!
1st one up is for the Free Safety
1st Round (Pick 17): Ha Ha Clinton-Dix FS (Alabama)
Ozzie wants a free-roaming safety that is a playmaker. Enter one of his own Alma matter from Alabama Perfect fit to pair with Matt Elam for a dangerous secondary.
2nd Round (Pick 48): Morgan Moses OT (Virginia)
I love this guy! I am also seeing some things that will drive him up draft boards. Next TRUE tackle after Lewan (him and Lewan actually compare pretty similarly) Big body and will solidify line as the other bookend with Monroe. Great pick to solidify the line.
3rd Round (Pick 79): C.J. Fiedorowicz TE (Iowa)
The Ravens only signed Daniels for a year (hopefully he resigns),but just in case CJ is a great in-line blocker, which the Ravens can benefit from and he has the capability to run routes and make big plays.
3rd Round (Compensatory Pick 99): Keith McGill CB (Utah)
The loss of Corey Graham was maybe the biggest this offseason. McGill is a great corner who could compete for the 3rd Corner job. The big corner could cover tight ends in the middle of the field, perfect to make a dangerous secondary.
4th Round (Compensatory Pick 134): Charles Sims RB (West Virginia)
Sims is depth for the running back position just in case Rice is not available for the start of the season.
4th Round (Compensatory Pick 138): Aaron Murray QB (Georgia)
Harbaugh isn’t satisfied with Taylor’s performance and wants more of a pocket passer. Aaron Murray fits the mold and will be a solid backup to Joe.
5th Round (Compensatory Pick 175): Max Bullough ILB (Michigan State)
The hard-hitting leader from the no.1 defense last year is great addition for depth for the linebacker corps.
6th Round (Pick 194): Brandon Coleman WR (Rutgers)
He’s a tall wide out that gives the Ravens height in their corps and on the outside, perfect for jump balls. Very underrated player will easily help the WR corps.
