17 TE ERIC EBRON-UNC
The Ravens new offensive coordinator likes to use a lot of 2 TE sets, and signing Owen Daniels helps the offense a lot but considering the recent injury history of both him and Pitta a long term solution is needed. There were several offensive lineman available but ultimately I felt that it's possible that a RT can emerge from what's on the current roster and be successful in Kubiaks ZBS so the value and need for TE was here for me.
48 WR MARQISE LEE-USC
If Lee came out last year many believe he would've been a top 10 pick he's fallen some due to an injury plagued season. At this point it's hard to pass up on Lee who could one day be a #1 WR in this league even with Jimmie Ward still in the board so this is another pick that helps improve a offense that wa less than impressive a season ago.
79 RB CARLOS HYDE-OHIO STATE
Honestly I was targeting Tre Mason but he was snatch up a few picks ahead of the ravens here, no matter I still found this was a good spot to draft a big powerful back of Hyde's caliber. Even before the recent off season woes in our back field it was clear that the Ravens needed a back that could convert short yardage situations into first downs, Hyde can do that.
99 DT EGO FERGUSON-LSU
I'm sure the Ravens would love to replace Art Jones who was a big loss in FA this year, I don't think that Ego is the player Jones is I do think he can be a valuable rotational player as the season goes on and add to the depth along the D Line.
134 S TRE BOSTON-NORTH CAROLINA
Boston is a Rangey safety who can play single high. While he may be a raw prospect he has all the tools to be a good safety at the NFL level, and with little competition he may get a chance to prove it sooner than later for the Ravens.
138 G CHRIS WATT -NOTRE DAME
An athletic lineman with good foot work and balance, did I mention Kubiak is our OC?
175 RB DRI ARCHER-KENT STATE
I like Swiss Army knives and that's what Archer is he can be a weapon out of the back field or in the slot, he's a mismatch waiting to happen he's the BPA here.
194 CB AARON COLVIN-OKLAHOMA
A better player than his draft spot may show injury has driven his value down. Probably a special teams contributor early I think he could eventually make plays as a corner.
