17 TE ERIC EBRON-UNC
Ebron gets the nod here at 17 even though there are still a slew of offensive lineman left that could help the Ravens. However with the injury history of the TEs on our roster and the amount of 2 TE sets in Kubiak's offense I felt this was the way to go, not only to make this offense work for this season but in the future. That combined with the fact I could see a starting caliber RT emerging as a solid starting in Kubiack's ZBS and I really don't see a TE on the roster who has the potential to be what Ebron could become.
48 WR MARQISE LEE-USC
I was doing to go defense here and sure up the secondary by selecting Jimmie Ward but I just could pass up on Marqise Lee at this point in the draft, Lee was considered a top 10 talent last year but an injury plaqued season has driven his value down but not this much the Ravens can not pass on a talented WR like this who could end up being a #1 WR in this league.
79 RB CARLOS HYDE-OHIO STATE
Even without the off season problems this year the Ravens needed a big back that can churn out those tough yards in short yardage situations. I know a lot of people like West as a pick on this sight, but I think he has a too much tread on his tires and doesn't power through contact often enough. Hyde is a big powerful back who can help the Ravens offense stay on the field and in rhythm.
99 DT EGO FERGUSON-LSU
Art Jones is gone leaving the Ravens with a need for depth along the defensive line. Ego is a big athletic body who can help as a rotational player to replace what the Raven lost in Jones.
134 S TRE BOSTON-NORTH CAROLINA
FS is a need. Tre Boston is a rangy FS with the ability to play high center in the Ravens defense and has the athletic ability to make it in the NFL and without much competition he could be a starter for the ravens despite his rawness as he might end up being the only true FS on the Ravens roster.
138 G CHRIS WATT -NOTRE DAME
Watt is an sound lineman who is fairly athletic and creates movement he has good balance and he moves well along the line, which is to say he it the type of late round lineman Kubiak can utilize.
175 RB DRI ARCHER-KENT STATE
No so much a RB as he is a player. Archer can either line up as a RB or a slot WR, he's the type of player you can bring out and draw the coverage of LBs who can not cover him in space. Think Swiss Ary knife, who doesn't like Swiss ary knives?
194 CB AARON COLVIN-OKLAHOMA
Basically a pick for Special teams who might be a contributor on defense down the road.
