It is with great difficulty that I make the announcement that, as of today, I am stepping down from my duties as manager of this website.
To avoid any speculation, this was a mutual decision between both me and Jason after the events which transpired in the community yesterday. We both agreed that I was simply not contributing enough and that it would be best for the website if I were to relinquish my duties and allow members with a little more time on their hands to step up to the plate and contribute. This move also benefits me as I will be attending Clemson University this fall and my time would be best used writing for the school's newspaper and hopefully SB Nation's very own "Shakin' The Southland" if all goes well. I will, however, stay active in the comments and try my best to be part of the community as a member.
I want to thank every single one of you for sticking by my side since I began as "Baltimore Warrior" back in August of 2009 and allowing me to grow as a person and writer. This magnificent forum gave me the opportunity to discover my love and passion for sports writing and gave me the confidence to go into college being able to say with a great degree of certainty that this is definitely what I want to do with my life. Simply said, if it wasn't for this community I have no idea what I would be doing with my life.
I have enjoyed every second of being part of this wonderful website and I am blessed to have met wonderful people like Jason Butt, Mr.MaLoR, Ampallang, raven, jackmca, Victor Hensley, jazz20, YeahDonnie, Michael Perry and countless other names who have seen me grow over the years (my apologies if I forgot to name you). You have all helped shaped me into the person and writer I am today and for that I want to say thank you. I have always said I have the best readers in the world, and I stand by that. Every person here offers an insightful response to posts which allows for meaningful, enriching discussion.
You guys are in great hands with Jason. He has nothing but this website's best interests in mind and I have no doubt that he will succeed in making this a top-five SB Nation football site. He may not be a tremendous homer like me and Bruce were, but he is a very good writer who knows what he is talking about.
It's been a blessing and an honor to write for this website for five magical years and my time here will be an experience I take with me throughout the rest of my life and career. God bless.
