We've all seen Matt Birk's weight loss transformation.
Since retiring from football after helping lead the Ravens to a win in Super Bowl XLVII, he's shed about 75 pounds and has seen his frame change considerably.
"For 20 years I basically lived a lifestyle geared towards bulking up, being an offensive lineman," he said on local Minneapolis NBC affiliate KARE 11.
Now that Birk has left the game of football and shed the weight, he's decided to pick up the pen and write a book titled "All-Pro Wisdom: The 7 Choices that Lead to Greatness." In the same interview, he gives his take what greatness exactly is.
"Greatness is not winning the Super Bowl or being on TV or being the C.E.O. of a company," Birk said. "Those things are all achievements. Greatness is being who you're supposed to be, or being the best version of yourself."
