Ravens to decide on offensive coordinator Monday

Jim Hostler is one of the final two candidates remaining for the open Ravens offensive coordinator job. - Evan Habeeb

It's between Jim Hostler and Kyle Shanahan.

In one day, we'll find out who the next Ravens offensive coordinator will be.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the Ravens will finalize their decision for the position by Monday.

Ravens fans have been anxiously awaiting who the next offensive coordinator will be. After former Steelers running backs coach turned Kirby Wilson, now coaching the same position with the Vikings, was eliminated from consideration, the Ravens will choose between current receivers coach Jim Hostler and former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.

Perhaps it's not the most exciting final two to choose from. But those appear to be the candidates John Harbaugh is most comfortable with.

Hiring Hostler allows the Ravens to keep a sense of continuity while giving him another chance to succeed as an offensive coordinator. But hiring Shanahan would give the franchise a chance to allow a young offensive mind to bring something new to the table.

Just one more day remains. Stay tuned.
