$h!t the fans say

Disappointment can really bring out the ugly in people. At 8-8, the 2013 Baltimore Ravens were the definition of mediocrity, and mediocrity is a massive disappointment to a fanbase that has grown accustomed to excellence since the arrival of John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco in 2008. Yet despite (or maybe because of) the excellence that they, and the team in general, have brought over the years, they are gigantic lightning rods that have gotten insane amounts of criticism since the season ended. Since it will be a long offseason, there will be lots and lots of ridiculous statements made by fans about them as we sit around waiting for the draft. This is where we can all let off a little steam and poke some fun and the fools saying outrageous things about our beloved Ravens.

In a 2 hour span of listening to 105.7 today, I heard some pretty crazy things before I had enough and plugged in my iPod. I don't remember the exact quotes, so I'll paraphrase.

1. Joe Flacco signed a $120 million dollar contract, yet is so greedy he still needs to do commercials. Maybe if he spent that time studying film instead, he would have had a better season

2. Ray Lewis was the heart of the Ravens, he could turn mediocre players into stars (this caller wasn't so crazy at this point) and the Ravens will NEVER have another winning season now that he's gone, they're DONE! The host then asked what team he's a fan of and he replied "The best team in the world! The Washington Redskins!"

3. John Harbaugh is a terrible coach who doesn't know how to pick players and I'll never forgive him for what he did to Cundiff.

What absurdity have you guys heard?

The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!
