Ever since Marlon Brown has emerged as a major candidate for the #2 receiver slot, there has been no buzz about who will replace Anquan Boldin. The loss of Boldin has been a main storyline for the Ravens offseason after winning the Superbowl. No longer are there questions about who will replace Boldin, because we as Ravens fans have realized we do not want to replace Boldin. We want to give Joe Flacco the keys to the offense, and when we find a receiver with the IT factor, his skillset becomes irrelevant. This is the case with Brown. He is a downfield threat who plays a very similar game to Torrey Smith, but no fan is upset, because as long as Flacco has viable receiving targets, their exact skillset can be overlooked.
The bottom line is that Ravens fans have forgotten about Boldin and trying to replace him, and have focused on helping Marlon Brown become the best Marlon Brown he can be.
