The Ravens terminated tight end Visanthe Shiancoe's contract, ending his brief stint with the organization.
Shiancoe was signed a day after starting tight end Dennis Pitta dislocated and fractured his hip during a training camp practice. Shiancoe participated in all of Baltimore's first three games with a mixed bag of results.
It appears the Ravens have decided the final tight end spot will play out between Billy Bajema and Matt Furstenburg as a result.
The Ravens also waived two former draft picks Sunday. Those were offensive lineman Ramon Harewood (sixth round in 2010) and receiver Tommy Streeter (sixth round in 2012). Harewood started the first five games a leftt guard in 2012 before Bobbie Williams replaced him.
Streeter was drafted on potential due to his 6-5 frame and 4.4 speed. But he failed to impress and was passed on the depth chart by some young receivers during the preseason.
The Ravens now have 77 roster spots taken. That number needs to be trimmed to 75 by Tuesday.
Outside linebacker Adrian Hamilton was placed on season-ending injured reserve due to a wrist injury. The Ravens also signed quarterback Dayne Crist, which appears to be a response to backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor's concussion for the final preseason game.
