Ed Reeds value

What should we be offering to Ed Reed? He made a list of 2012's overrated players with his $8.6M cap hit.

Safety: Ed Reed
Cap difference: minus-$6.5m

While Reed is a Ravens legend and likely headed for the Hall of Fame, one thing he isn't is someone who represented good value for the money last season. No longer the impact player he was in his prime, he missed an astonishing 15 tackles and got beat for three touchdowns. Those aren't the kinds of numbers you expect for a man carrying a $8.5 million cap hit.

That means that they valued Ed's play at about $2.1 million. I doubt we could sign him for that little, and I assume he will bounce back a little this coming year. So my guess is 2 years, 6-6.5 million for should get it done.

Whats your price?
