Ed Reed Signs With Houston

USA TODAY Sports

Well there you have it folks. After 11 amazing years in black and purple, Ed Reed's career in Baltimore has come to an end as he agreed to terms with the Texans late Wednesday evening on a two-year deal. Ed Reed has been a crucial part of the Ravens defense for such a long time and it is truly a shame to see him walk away, however the NFL is a business and unfortunately sometimes things like this just have to happen.

It's never easy seeing a player like Ed Reed go, especially when they mean as much to a franchise as he did, however us Ravens fans can look forward to future and know that our franchise is in good hands with the likes of Ozzie Newsome running things. We can take this night to mourn the loss of one our favorite players but we should be hopefully optimistic for what the future holds for this franchise as a whole.
