I've made it clear here that I am from St. Louis and pledge fanship to both the Ravens (#1) and the Rams (#2). I'm sure many of you have read article about Danny Amendola and the apparent interest from the Ravens. Many of you will shy him away because of injury history, but I think it would play into our favor to sign him at a reasonable contract. As a Rams fan I didn't want them to sign him, because I think with the new regime under Jeff Fisher and Les Snead, we need to focus on the big uglies. Anyway, now seeing Bolden is gone, Amendola is a perfect fit. It's kind of hard explaining having two allegiances and thinking different things for both of them, but I'm sure a few of you feel the same way for some other aspect of your life
Why Danny Amendola?
Danny Amendola fits the characteristic of playing like a Raven. He does whatever it takes to win, and has a passion for the game. He'll go across the middle and really doesn't drop anything. He can make people miss in open space, and I'm sure you know how similar he is to Welker. I am almost one of the biggest Bradford haters, and it's amazing to see how much better Bradford looks with him on the field. Let's not forget that I think Amendola would thrive in our Offense. Many of you will point to injury risk with Amendola, but I think they have just been complete freak accidents. Don't get me wrong, they are a concern, but I wonder the odds of him getting another significant injury is. For a Brian Hartline type of deal, he will be a complete asset to just about any team in the league. As our offense moves to the aspect of speed and the deep ball, Danny couple line up at any position. He was equally as successful in the slot as he was on the outside, from my observation. Once he gets the ball in stride, which is hard for Bradford to do, he's always a threat to break a few tackles. For those of you who will look to other's I want to point out that Amendola will be the best value among any of them. Odds are we won't get Tavon Austin in the draft(The only person who I think would be a better fit), Greg Jennings is just as big of a risk in my eyes, and he is older & more expensive. Wallace is out of our ball park and we won't give up a first rounder for Victor Cruz.
