John Harbaugh spends nights at office, takes tireless approach to work week

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Spor

Harbaugh opened up his planner to ESPN to share a week in the life of an NFL coach.

Ever wondered how John Harbaugh spends his work week?

Well, for three nights of them, he spends them on his office couch. A tireless worker, Harbaugh spends the NFL's three busiest days and nights at the team facility in Owings Mills, Md., studying the previous game, previewing the next opponent and figuring out what game-plan to install that week.

Harbaugh opened up his weekly calendar from last week's preparation for the Bears game to ESPN's Kevin Van Valkenburg. The glimpse into Harbaugh's work week has since been posted online at ESPN.com and will be published in the Dec. 9 issue of ESPN The Magazine.

It's truly a rare glimpse into the life of an NFL coach, which brings long work hours and time away from families.

It's well worth the read, and all you have to do is click here.
