Ravens Vs. Patriots: Justin Tucker Has Plenty Of Confidence

Stay connected for news and updates

Patrick Smith

The memories of Billy Cundiff shanking a game-tying field-goal won't affect how Justin Tucker goes about kicking this Sunday, and if the Ravens need him to come through in a clutch moment he is more than ready.

Justin Tucker: "What's in the past is in the past," he said. "Anything that's happened in the past year, two years, five years, 10 years, or just the last several weeks, that's all null and void now because we just have a singular task at hand -- to beat New England. I will be confident because we have a routine we follow, we do what we know and do what we trust." Via ESPN

It's certainly refreshing to have a kicker in Baltimore for the first time since Matt Stover who believes in himself and (hopefully) won't flinch in the clutch. If Tucker's confidence blossoms into results against the Patriots, I'm willing to bet you'll be seeing a LOT of number nine for the next decade or so.
