Based on their outstanding performances in last week's thrilling 31-30 victory over the New England Patriots, both Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco and WR Torrey Smith have been honored with weekly awards. Flacco has been named the FedEx 'Air Player of the Week' and Smith has been voted the GMC 'Never Say Never Moment of the Week.'
Flacco's impressive 28 for 39 for 382 yards and three TD passes in the Patriots win was worthy of such an honor, and he led the AFC in passing yards, second to only New York Giants QB Eli Manning in the entire NFL after the first three weeks of the season.
Torrey Smith's award comes on the heels of his heart-warming performance after finding out his 19-year old brother, Tevin, had died in a tragic motorcycle accident earlier that same day. Smith decided to play in the game, and finished with six catches for 127 yards and two TD receptions.
