This debacle that is the replacement referees in the NFL so incredible that it could not have been scripted for a horror movie any better than this. A few days after a replacement official was removed because his Facebook page showed him to be a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints, it not has been reported that a referee in the game between the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles told RB LeSean McCoy that he was on his fantasy team.
A story on CBS Philly reports that McCoy mentioned that a ref told him:
"They're like fans, kind of though," McCoy said. "I'll be honest, they're like fans. One of the refs was talking about his fantasy team, like 'McCoy, come on, I need you for my fantasy,' ahhh, what?!"
An NFL spokesman said that officials are not permitted to play fantasy football. Does that include the replacements? Oops.
