Over the course of last season it became evident that Joe Flacco and Dennis Pitta were developing undeniably strong chemistry. In most cases the term "chemistry" is one of those over-used sports idioms that I despise so much, but I honestly feel like it applies in this situation.
As the season winded on, Dennis Pitta started seeing more and more looks and eventually became one of Joe's "go-to guys", ending the season with 54 receptions; the third most on the team. For the first time since Dennis Pitta's rookie year there was not a lockout over the off-season which I think greatly improved he and Joe Flacco's bond. This was already evident on Monday night's game against the Bengals when Dennis Pitta led the receiving corps with 5 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown, while being targeted nine times; more than any other receiver on the team.
With an entire off-season under their belts and 2 years of experience, I think we can expect to see more great things from Joe Flacco and Dennis Pitta this season.
