2013 Draft
I expect the ravens to be picking in the 28-32 range.
Trade 4th round pick to move up to the 18-22 range in the 1st round
1- Manti Te'o ILB Notre Dame: Successor for Ray Lewis. Not only is he a great football player, he is also a high character, vocal leader who is a perfect candidate to fill the shoes of Lewis.
2- Oday Aboushi OT Virginia: Has the quickness and length to be a starting LT in the NFL. Once Mckinnie goes Aboushi should compete for a starting job.
3- Bacarri Rambo S Georgia: Would be a definite first round pick if not for the character concerns. With a very strong locker room and leaders like Lewis and Reed in Baltimore, I fully expect him to outgrow his immaturity and become Reed's successor.
5- Emory Blake WR Auburn: Very talented reciever who is heavily underrated because of the dismal QB play in Auburn. He has the talent to push for playing time his rookie year and eventually become a WR2 for the ravens.
6- Mister Cobble NT Kentucky: Aside from his awesome name, Cobble has good size (333 lbs.) and showed starting potential in the final two games of 2012 totaling 6 tackles with two tackles for loss and a sack.
7- Quinton Patton WR La Tech: Had over 1200 yds receiving last year and 11 touchdowns. Those stats show real talent but can he produce against quality competition?
Free agency 2013
I fully expect Mckinnie to walk. He is just getting to old and fat to be a legitimate starting LT. I also think that sadly this will be Ed Reed's final year. However this should free up some good cap room for the ravens.
Potential FA
Joe Flacco QB: Resigning Flacco will obviously be a priority but it will also limit the rest of the ravens offseason. The way he is playing, I'm sure he will be asking for big money.
Greg Jennings WR: He may love Green Bay but I highly doubt they will find the money to pay him. Jennings would give the ravens the legitimate WR1 that they so desperately need.
Sam Shields CB: Cary Williams will be a RFA this offseason so Shields could be a possible replacement if he goes. He is still young and has starting potential.
LaRon Landry S: If the jets don't resign him, he could fill in for Reed. He is mediocre in coverage but he is hard-hitting tackle in run support.
Obviously way too early to speculate but I can't help it. I'll update it as the season continues.
