For the first time in this writer's poor short-term memory, the Baltimore Ravens are ranked #1 in SB Nation's NFL Power Rankings after the first week of the 2012 regular season. They've been as high as #2 in recent rankings over the years, but never made it to the top spot. Their 44-13 beatdown of the Cincinnati Bengals last night must have impressed the "voters."
The Ravens are ranked ahead of, in order, the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans. Ironically, the Green Bay Packers, 30-22 losers to the 49ers, still get the fifth spot. CBSSports.com has the Ravens ranked 5th, behind the 49ers (4th), Atlanta Falcons (3rd), Texans (2nd) and Pats (1st). FoxSports.com's Brian Billick has Baltimore in the 3rd slot, behind the 49ers (2nd) and Patriots (1st), with the Texans (4th) and Falcons (5th) behind them.

1. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 4, 1-0): The offense looked elite. We already know the defense is elite. Is this the best team in the NFL? A big road test in Philly next week will help answer that question.
SB Nation's Week Two NFL Power Rankings are live, and Amy K. Nelson goes through the biggest risers and fallers of the week. How high can Peyton Manning and the Broncos climb? Will the New York Jets get any respect? And which team is really the worst? Cleveland or Miami? Let us know if you agree or disagree in the comments, and tell us where your team should be ranked.
