The Baltimore Ravens unveiled their new-look offense tonight and the Cincinnati Bengals will probably wake with a bad case of whiplash tomorrow morning after their 44-13 lashing on Monday Night Football. The Bengals had no idea where the ball was headed all night long, as the offense spread the ball around and was led by QB Joe Flacco.
In front of a national television audience, Flacco threw for 299 yards, two TD passes and a 128 QB Rating. RB Ray Riceonly carried the ball ten times, for 68 yards but scored two TDs. He added three catches for 25 more yards. Flacco spread the ball around in the passing attack, hitting seven different receivers, with TE Dennis Pitta catching five balls for 73 yards and one of Joe's TD passes.
Defensively, the Ravens defense seemed to pushed around by the Bengals offensive line, leading to RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis picking up 91 yards on 18 attempts. QB andy Dalton threw for over 220 yards but was sacked four times and had one costly interception, which safety Ed Reed returned 34 yards for the back-breaking touchdown.
Much more to follow on this overwhelming and impressive victory, a great way to start the 2012 regular season.
