By now, most Baltimore Ravens fans and probably the same amount of Atlanta Falcons fans are sick and tired of this ongoing debate that just won't seem to go away. Both Baltimore's Joe Flacco and Atlanta's Matt Ryan came into the NFL through the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Since then, there have been constant comparisons, including one more, this time between NFL Total Access' Willie McGinest and Heath Evans as seen on NFL.com.
McGinest seems to be the level-headed one as he confidently predicts that Flacco will have the better year, as evidenced by his performance in a losing effort in the AFC Championship Game against McGinest's former team, the New England Patriots.
Evans is still trying to give the nod to Ryan based on his better receivers and belief that the combination of wide receivers Roddy White, Julio Jones and tight end Tony Gonzalez, along with running back Michael Turner, trumps the Ravens' receiver corp of WR's Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, TE Ed Dickson and RB Ray Rice. Evans furthermore downplays the Baltimore defense, saying they are no longer the elite unit of the past and the addition of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator will raise the Falcons game to the next level.
Yeah,....rigghhhttt!
