The Baltimore Ravens have turned what was once the weak link on their solid defense into one of the best in the league. SB Nation ranked the team's with the best cornerback units in the NFL and the Ravens sit in second place behind the New York Jets.
They obviously list Lardarius Webb as their best corner, but give high grades to both Jimmy Smith and Cary Williams. In the story, they predict the second-year Smith to end up with the starting gig across from Webb, with Williams as the 3rd defensive back. Free agent veteran signing Corey Graham and rookie draft pick Asa Jackson also garner mention.
The Jets' top ranked unit, according to writer Ryan Van Bibber, includes Darrelle Revis, arguably the best cover-corner in the league, as well as Antonio Cromartie and Kyle Wilson. Of the other AFC North teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers came in 10th and the Cincinnati Bengals ranked 13th.
