Along with the announcement yesterday by Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh that Michael Oher would be the team's left tackle for the foreseeable future, former left tackle Bryant McKinnie has reportedly been fined $30,000 by the team for missing the start of Training Camp.
According to a story on NFL.com, McKinnie has not be excused from camp and while his representative informed the team that he was dealing with an "issue," it obviously is not a good enough excuse for the Ravens. The fine is the maximum amount allowed under the terms of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The bigger question remains whether or not McKinnie will be welcomed back to the team's Under Armour Performance Center or will they be moving on without him. That issue raises another, which obviously will be who will replace Oher on the right side that he has now vacated.
