I have some great enthusiasm for the upcoming season. I think a lot of our young players will emerge into great starters on both offense and defense.
However, typically with every team some player that is expected to perform at a certain level fails to do so. Whether it's a veteran that starts to decline or a promising youngster that fails to take the next step, every team experiences this at least once a year. Arguably last year, Ed Reed could be the most disappointing with only 3 INTs.
I feel that this question is too wide open for a poll, so I'll ask the question here and you can answer in the comments. As a disclaimer, I'm not trying to be negative. But since this is more of a rational Ravens fan community, I feel like we can take an honest, objective look at our players.
Which Ravens player will fall short of expectations/disappoint in the coming season?
My guess will be Paul Kruger. I really like the guy, but I feel like he's too one dimensional as an OLB to be any more than a situational pass rusher.
