Although the result was not anywhere close to what fans of the Baltimore Ravens wanted to see or even expected, the AFC Championship Game was the third most-watched sporting event on television so far in 2012. According to a story on SportsMedia Watch.com, that game was only behind the obvious Super Bowl and also the NFC Championship Game between the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers.

It certainly helped the Giants to have the #1 television market in the country compared to Baltimore and New England. However, getting a 27 share in their game is no small feat for the Ravens. The first twelve places on the list all belong to the NFL, with only the NCAA BCS Championship Game between Alabama and LSU breaking that trend.

The Ravens NFL Divisional playoff victory over the Houston Texans came in 9th overall.
