When Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs was reported to have torn his Achilles Tendon, he said it happened during conditioning drills. Suggs continues to maintain not only this is how it happened, but how he also insists that he is sure he will return in the 2012 season and a lot earlier than most people believe.
However, it is now being reported that Suggs actually hurt himself in a basketball tournament that weeked in Arizona. The NFL.com story has specific details on the weekend three-day tournament, with quotes from the tournament director, who spoke about what allegedly happened.
Regardless of how it happened, the injury occurred and Suggs' season is in jeopardy. However, if Suggs is not telling the truth, it opens up a whole new can of worms related to what repercussions this, if any, could have with the team.
