After being ranked 17th on the list of the NFL Top 100 Players of 2011, Baltimore Ravens DT Haloti Ngata improved to 9th on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2012. Ngata was the top ranked Ravens player this year after being behind both Ed Reed (#5) and Ray Lewis (#4) last year on this list.
Ngata is the perfect combination of strength, speed and athleticism in a defensive tackle. The ability to stuff the run, rush the passer and even run down receivers downfield is rare in any player, but to have these skills in a 340 pound body is virtually unheard of.
The final group of ten players was released last night and can be found on NFL.com. The #1 player for this coming season was Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, just ahead of New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees (#2) and Detroit Lions WR Charles Johnson (#3). Post your thoughts and comments below on the list and in my humble opinion, Johnson is by far the best player at his position that I might have put him at the top of this list.
