Baltimore Ravens defensive end, Michael McAdoo, a 2011 fifth round supplemental draft pick from North Carolina who already missed the 2009 season with a knee injury, has now tore his Achilles Tendon at OTA's on Thursday. McAdoo repotedly had surgery Friday. Originally, the team was mute on this incident, but it recently posted a story on BaltimoreRavens.com.
This will be a huge blow not just for the Ravens, but for the fans who wanted McAdoo to succeed, who saw something special in him. McAdoo was competing with Sergio Kindle, Paul Kruger, Courtney Upshaw and Albert McClellan to replace Suggs and said how he felt great about where he was at.
With the younger guys now having a leg up on the competition and if McAdoo misses the entire 2012 season, he will fall so far behind these other guys that his future as a Ravens player, much less his NFL career, could be in serious jeopardy.
