No, the title to this story is not a typo, nor was it written late at night when the effects of alcohol clouded my brain and my keyboard. This is not my opinion, but the sole thoughts of the one-and-only Warren Sapp. A NFL Network analyst, Sapp said in a video posted on NFL.com that he believes that the Cleveland Browns will be the next team which has never won a Super Bowl to finally break through and hoist the Lombardi trophy.
There are 14 teams out of the 32 who have never felt the feeling of being on top of the football world. More than half of them have played in the Big Game, some even multiple times. A few of them are considered contenders to get there as soon as this coming season. But Sapp is sticking with the Browns.
Other teams worth a mention here (and in the video) include the Houston Texans, although one of the analysts not in the video named the Carolina Panthers as their pick. There are still the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Diego Chargers, who seem to be among the contenders every year, as well as up-and-coming teams such as the Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions who deserve consideration. Remember, no one said this had to happen this year, or even next.
