Ray Rice #22 On NFL Top 100 Players of 2012

Stay connected for news and updates

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice turned up to be the player on the team that was one of the next group of names released last night on the NFL Network's series of the Top 100 Players of 2012. Rice is #22 on the list, after being #56 on the 2011 list (above is his Top 100 Players of 2011 video).

After an outstanding 2011 season with over 2,000 all-purpose yards (1,300+ rushing and 700+ yards receiving), plus 15 touchdowns (12 rushing and 3 receiving), he moved up the list as one of the best running backs in the league. Rice has not signed his Franchise Tag tender and therefore is not at the team's mini-camp this week nor expected until at least when Training Camp opens July 21st.

Rice is the third player on the Ravens to appear on the NFL Top 100 list so far, behind QB Joe Flacco (#74) and his lead blocker, FB Vonta Leach (#45). Expected Ravens players yet to be named to the list include Haloti Ngata, Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. The next group of ten players (#20-11) will be released next Wednesday evening.
