The Baltimore Ravens maybe in the off-season right now, but that is all about to change now that the 2012 NFL Draft is over with. Rookie camps, mini-camps and OTA dates have been announced for all NFL teams, including the Ravens. Due to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, the number of times the team can get together has been drastically changed from how they used to do it in the past.
According to the NFL, clubs are permitted to hold rookie mini-camp on one of the first two weekends after the NFL Draft and conduct one mandatory mini-camp for veteran players. Clubs with new head coaches, however, are permitted to conduct one additional voluntary mini-camp for veteran players. There is no restriction on the number of mini-camps a club may hold for rookie players.
The Ravens rookies will hold their first mini-camp for rookies on May 11-13 and for both rookies and veterans on June 12-14. The team will hold OTA (Organized Team Activities) on May 22-24, May 29-31 and June 4-7. Baltimore Beatdown will plan to be there to bring you all the news, photos and hopefully even a few exclusive one-on-one interviews.
