A Pats Fan With a Humble Request
Please please please, please lock Bernard Pollard in a room until he's too old to play football anymore.
I know I know, it's that woulda-shoulda-coulda stuff. What could, would, should have been if Bernard Pollard didn't make that tackle on Gronk. A completely legit tackle mind you that I don't think was dirty at all, but nonetheless resulted in our most explosive player getting that high ankle sprain.
It's a familar dream. What would, could, or should have been if Bernard Pollard didn't bring down Wes Welker in the 2009/2010 season in the game before the Pats would host the Ravens. Welker's injury was not the result of a dirty play, just Pollard's kryptonic-presence.
What would, could, or should have been if Bernard Pollard didn't sack Brady in the first game of the 2008 season. It wasn't a dirty hit, but you get the idea.
Do you realize that it's probably not safe for him to come to New England at all, through no fault of his own? Yup. He's the most-despised player who shouldn't even be despised, but we have no choice but to despite him. I wouldn't want him on the team given all the injuries he would surely cause in practice. Hell, even the locker rooms. Probably the weight rooms, too. The man can't help himself, and if you guys let him play is again, he just might never be able to live with himself again.(ok, he would probably be worshipped by some, but come on!)
So please.. lock him in a room and throw the key away before he hurts Aaron Hernandez. Thanks guys, see you in the regular season rematch!
The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

This. We love bone crusher. While despised in NE he has quickly became a fan favorite here.

When you say lock up.....
you mean on a long-term contract, right? and to that I say hell ya!
You do realize that the only people he is on record as hurting is Patriots, right? He has been on 3 different teams, and the only people he has nailed have been on YOUR team. So I say props to the ASSASSIN, Bernard Karmel Pollard as they know him in New England. I just hope he doesn’t have to wait until he is on his 4th team to mess up another Pat bad on a totally legal non-dirty hit. Y’know???

Still don't get the
people that think Pollard had anything to do with Welkers injury. Youtube it man, Welker was already f’ed as soon as he made that cut, Pollard just happened to be in the area.
It sure is a strange coincidence, but Pollard didn’t do anything wrong in any of those situations (Brady, Welker, Gronkowski)
Can I get some hot sauce for my doughnut?
We hate seeing anyone injured. Pats didn’t lose because of gronk…they lost because of belichik & brady and a great NYG team.

I think Gronks limitations had a HUGE impact
"And, don’t get me started on Joe Flacco," Simms continued. "Did the experts watch the game? Joe didn’t miss a throw, not one. I watched every play. Every time he had the opportunity, he hit the guy. And, he made some moves so he could complete other throws. Are these people watching? What was Joe supposed to do with Texans in his face? Throw it up and hope? Sometimes a sack is a good thing. The object is to win the game. You did."

And cuz Brady was REALLY off on a bunch of throws. Yah Gisele, I said it. He underthrew Gronk on the INT, Welker on the drop, and Branch on his 2nd drop. Don’t really remember Branch’s first drop. Hernandez’s was his own fault, but it wouldn’t have mattered unless he broke 6 tackles anyways.

I am still trying to figure out why Brady is launching one 50 yards down field to a one foot TE. Who does that?

They liked Brandon Tate over Mike Wallace and Steven Ridley over Torrey Smith. Imagine either one (or both) of those guys on that team with all their incredible underneath receivers.
Brady throws a beautiful deep pass, but has literally no one on that roster capable of executing it.
"Picture Me Rollin"
He definitely shouldn’t be throwing those deep balls to a guy on a bum ankle.

How do you feel about the Haley signing? Seems like steeler nation is pretty split on it.

I'm split as well
I worry about his attitude not fitting in on the “family” attitude the Steelers FO and Tomlin put forth. On the other hand, I think he could do some pretty good things with our offense and he is great at adjusting to the roster and not trying to force them to adjust.

Yeah definitely interesting. Completely different personality types in Haley and Tomlin. Sounds like a boom or bust type deal.

How come Tomlin has yet to speak since the Broncos game? Every Steelers fan talks about how perfect of a person and coach he is, but that seems like a low ball move to not give any explanation since right after the Broncos game.
"Picture Me Rollin"
Tomlin has spoken quite a few times since that game.

Im not a huge fan of Haley
He’s just so emotional and high strung. He doesnt seem to fit the AFC North mold, but then again he’s never been surrounded by the kind of players he’s gonna be with in Pitt. Debo’s scary ass will quickly put him in check.
Scott Hines
You know they regret not getting Wallace…but can Marsha get him the ball in 2012?
pitt could easily lose Wallace because of their cap issues and his tender is only a 1st round pick… Ravens should make a nice early offer to complicate colbert’s job
by Evan Skev on Feb 8, 2012 6:56 AM EST via mobile up reply actions
If we lose Wallace, it will be because he’s over rated. If they find something to indicate that he’s not over rated…we’ll keep him. Cap issues can be worked around if they feel Wallace is really that good (and after the second half of this season, I’m not convinced at all that he is)
Can I get some hot sauce for my doughnut?
I really hope you guys don’t keep him. Brown may be the better overall player, but Wallace can run by anyone.
daytime commentator. night time ninja.
yes, he can. But that’s about all you can say about him. You guys have Torrey Smith…same situation. You saw him running around like a fart in a wind storm in the AFCCG when Flacco somehow threw a perfect pass despite getting leveled.
Tomlin was dead on about him…one trick pony.
Early in the season..yeah..I bought in to the hype. Second half? Not as much
Can I get some hot sauce for my doughnut?
What did he do in the second half of the season to convinced you that he isnt good? I think Antonio Brown should be the steelers number one wideout because he seems like he’s better than Wallace
Well, for one thing, he never thought it was his job to go after the ball if it wasn’t thrown perfectly, he was directly responsible for at least 3 interceptions. He didn’t try to get open when plays broke down, he just stood still, he had at least 5 big drops. (starting with KC, continuing through the rest of the season).
As far as you saying Brown is the better of the two (or best on our team) yes…yes he is.
We’ll see next year though, I guess.

Great Post
And that is high praise indeed considering you root for a team other than the Ravens.
Pollard? Hated more than Buckner? More than Wade or Roger (for going to the Yankees)? Wow…
True story: poker buddy of mine originally from Bean-town, gets a Christmas card each year from a friend of his who is from NY and is a Mets fan. He signs it “Bill Buckner”… If I ever feel like I need to put my buddy on Full Tilt during poker, I just bring up the ’86 Series and he goes off about how “No Knees” Buckner should have never been in there in the first place… And it goes downhill from there… And I can usually call his bluff or get him to fold…

See you in Baltimore in 2012
When the Pats come to us for the regular season, and don’t be surprised if it isn’t the season opener for both teams!
