With the hiring of Caldwell, I've talked to other fans and read other blogs asking if we would sign a guy like Reggie Wayne, who will be an unrestricted free agent. I doubt we do that considering we've experimented with older veterans in the past like Housh, coupled with the fact we have some young up-and-coming receivers on the roster like Torrey, Tandon and Laquan who, with a full offseason, could really make strides next season. But what about bringing in Garcon? He's younger than Wayne, probably will not command number one wide receiver money, is familiar with Caldwell, and could be a nice role rotational player for us. Ozzie has stated that they will continue to build at wide receiver this offseason and, in my opinion, Garcon could be a guy that would fit in nicely without hindering the growth of the aforementioned young players. I think we have to see what they decide to do with Evans before exploring any free agents, but I think Garcon is an intriguing name to mention now to keep an eye on.
