STEFON DIGGS!!!
Yes, I realize this is a website geared towards Ravens fans, but I know there are Terps fantatics like myself who post on here. And, seeing as how the Ravens play in our great state of Maryland, I felt compelled to post this (sorry, Bruce). This is a monumental commitment for the Terrapins' football program...a FIVE star wide receiver, who will start from day one, should alter Maryland recruiting moving forward. Edsall has pulled off a grand slam here, and for a team that went 2-10 in his first season, coupled with the uncertainty surrounding Danny O'Brien, this is a fantastic start to the weekend. Go Terps!!
The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

Got no issue with this, JS
Just think his new coach is in way over his head and unless Diggs has some blocking in front of him, along with a QB, he will be finding the transition to the college game a tough go.

This guy is going to be a beast!
- WR in the country. Hopefully this will help O’Brien show off the talent that I know he has.

What’s up with O’Brien? I didn’t get a chance to watch much Terps football last year, but from what I saw early, he looked pretty good. Did he get hurt or benched later in the season? Seems like everyone was talking about some big thing that happened to him but I never knew what it was. Help? Haha.
For the record, I’m one of the few that loved their new uni’s. I think MD has one of the coolest flags and was glad to see them integrate that into their patterns/colors….like the Ravens did with their logo.

O’Brien might be transferring from MD.

Actually...
I was walking behind him last week going to classes (I’m a UMD student) and I overheard him on the phone say “I haven’t told him yet whether I’m staying or going”
Who knows what that was in reference to, but I’m sure its about the team

"All of the people that you think would be interested are interested," Bickel added. When asked if Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti was a possible buyer, Bickel responded, "I’m not saying anything."
Please do it Bisciotti!!!

There is enough other good money in around Baltimore that Steveie B may not have to get involved. Heck anybody with half a brain knows that with that stadium, all you gotta do is be .500 and it’s a license to print money in Baltimore…
Would absolutely love it if Cal Jr. could assemble a team of investors and make Peter an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Not Sure
How much of a “scoop” journalist Eric Bickel is. I like the Junkies and all, but pulling an Adam Schefter might be a little too much to expect…
A quick stroll over to Camden Chat didn’t reveal any breaking news nuggets; however, the O’s did drop out of the bidding war for Manny and reached a deal with Jones (to avoid arbitration). They could be quietly clearing the decks. I would imagine that if this happens, it would be pretty quick as if it really is happening, it sounds like a lot of work is being done behind the scenes unbeknownst to the general public. Therefore, if/when it does happen, there will an announcement kind of out of the blue, and that will be that.
Still, a little puzzling that a DC based person (albeit a lifelong O’s fan) scooped this vice one of the Baltimore based reporters. I mean, the Sun still has an Orioles beat writer, correct? Or was that a budget cut also?

An Oriole source just confirmed that there is no truth behind Angelos selling the team. So much for that excitement…

Your Own
Source or a public source?
If it is a public source, I would expect them to say no different, until it actually happened.
If it is your own source, my day just went down the crapper…

No, not my source. The Baltimore Sun reported they talked with an Oriole Source.

Is this for real? Are they really for sale? Holy crap, please let this be true!

They’ve “been for sale” the last few years. That scumbag Angelos ain’t going anywhere as long as he is pocketing the money from MASN.
Such a shame. I miss the O’s. I get so excited each spring and it’s always a massive dissapointment and I can’t watch after a few weeks….too painful.
Maybe one day…

There is Something
Distinctively un-American about how painful it is to watch baseball…
But then again Peter did go against the Cuban embargo to play Castro’s team, so I should not be that surprised…
