Billy Cundiff has been cut by the Washington Redskins

In a move that should surprise nobody, the Washington Redskins have announced that they have cut Billy Cundiff from their roster, replacing him with UCLA kicker Kai Forbath on Tuesday.

Ravens fans will painfully remember the chip shot he missed in the AFC championship game against the New England Patriots, which if successful would have sent the match into overtime and given the boys in purple a potential Superbowl birth.

Cundiff was cut after going a combined 2-6 over the past two weeks, including a pair of misses from 30 yards out.

Wish Billy the best of luck in finding a new team, although I can't say I'd imagine too many Ravens fans would feel much sympathy at him so soon after "wide left".
