Hines Ward to Retire
No more Smiles. Hines has been a thorn in the Ravens' sides for years now. Now Pitt has younger, better players at the position, which will lead to his demise one way or another. Looks like Ward will be confined to the annals of history after this season, and I'm sure all of us (especially Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs) will be ecstatic to hear the news!

Probably because cinematic magic and well-timed explosives are the only way he’s outrunning defenders anymore.

Water covers 2/3 of the Earth's surface. Ed Reed covers the rest.

Not sure I'm too happy about it.
Watching JJ lay him out was one of the highlights of the season for me. Would have loved to see it happen once more.
Don't think there's any possibility that Ward would get on the field next season in Pitt.

You Know
That is going into Hines’ calculus of what decides to do.
"A little learning is a dangerous thing; Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring."
"The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug."
"God's whiskers! Your face is as hideous as the demon's in my storybook!"
"I never expected to see the day when girls would get sunburned in the places they do today."
"It's big for a reason."

I'd imagine he got 'the talk' from Pitt's GM sometime recently.

RayRay & JJ knocked him into retirement… At least he won something this season since the Ravens took the division. Dance, Whines!

Dirty Smile
Calling a dirty player like Hines Ward “classy” is outright ignorant. I guess carma is a b#*!h, Ray Ray and the crew gave it back to him two fold. The only player dirtier than him (on the Steelers) is Harrison. Thats not saying much.
This.
This….and this. +1000 hahahaha!

Sorry, Ed Reed...
But Hines is coming back just to “snot-bubble” you one more time! He said he’s gonna play one more year than ray-ray ( and we all know ray ain’t retiring after losing to T.J.) so Ward will be back in Black next year…. keep yer head on a swivel !!

Will he even see the field?

He’s the 4th best receiver on your team. I’d be as happy as you are if he kept stealing playing time from your dangerous speedsters.
I love it knowing that there are a handful of Ravens fans in this area who despise the fact that Joe will be our QB for the next 10 years. --Mr. MaLoR
4th?

Yes, 4th.
Wallace, Brown, Saunders, Maybe even Cotch, Hines.

I wasn't saying higher,
I was questioning whether Cotchery would have a bigger role than Hines next year. I really don’t remember seeing him on the field very much (other than the times we knocked him out), although I’d guess that’s due to the fact that he was mostly used as a blocker on running plays.
