The Winningest Quarterback in his class

Okay, so he's not the best QB in the NFL. But who would have thought in April 2008 that the Quarterback from Delaware, tagged as the most overrated QB in the draft by Draft.com, would be the winningest (not a word, but it sounds cool) Quarterback of the 2008 draft class (44 wins in 4 seasons)? Let's compare, shall we?

First, I'd like to start with the "Best Value Pick," according to Scout.com.

Chad Henne

College: Michigan, Drafted by: Miami, Career QB Rating: 75.7, Career wins: 13.

So much for the best value pick. Next up is the #1 QB, the best of the best (so people thought).

Matt Ryan

College: Boston College, Drafted by: Atlanta, Career QB Rating: 88.4, Career wins: 43

He's a good QB. He has 1 less win than Joe does, which should inspire Joe "Cool" to improve. Next is the #2 guy. Does anybody want to take a guess at what his name is?

Brian Brohm

College: Louisville, Drafted by: Green Bay (didn't play him, didn't keep him), Career QB Rating: 26.0, Career wins: 0

And this guy was rated #2 in the draft?! Good night! Next up would be the #4 guy, but Andre Woodson never started a game. He was drafted by the Giants in the 6th round, but was injured during minicamps. He eventually went to the Redskins, who put him on their practice squad. He played for the Hartford Colonels in the UFL after being released. He was released by Hartford afterward. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andre_Woodson)

#5, Colt Brennan did well with the Redskins, who drafted him in the 6th round, but a torn hamstring and and injured hip. When the 'Skins traded with the Ravens for John Beck, Brennan was released. He played for the Raiders before being released by them. He is now playing for the Hartford Colonels in the UFL. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_Brennan)

Before we take a look at our very own QB, ranked #6, I'd like to look at the "Most Underrated" of the 2008 QB class, according to Draft.com.

Kevin O'Connell

College: San Diego St., Drafted by: New England, Career QB Rating: 73.6 (2 games), Career wins: 0

Now we take a look at the #6-ranked QB in the 2008 NFL draft.

Joe Flacco

College: Delaware, Drafted by: Baltimore, Career QB Rating: 86.0, Career wins: 44.

Make you glad we have the Wizard of Oz as our GM, doesn't it?
