If our defense steps up the pass rush, we will steamroll the Patriots.

Pats OLine is stronger than 2 years ago and

they’ve beefed up their run-game. They might have been lucky last night given that Dumervil’s rumored knee-injury didn’t look like much of a rumor, as Denver was never able to apply effective pressure.

It is what it is

by Middlesex on Jan 15, 2012 4:37 PM EST up reply actions

I think the offensive execution was lacking too. Not all on Cameron.

Though he failed to make any significant changes to help the situation.

by Roa on Jan 15, 2012 4:34 PM EST up reply actions

Even so, he was making absolutely stupid play calls at wrong times

by Ravens4Life on Jan 15, 2012 4:39 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

Yeah, I was perplexed by some of the play-calling.

Ravens OLine looked overmatched all game long except for short burtsts here and there.

It is what it is

by Middlesex on Jan 15, 2012 4:35 PM EST up reply actions

No chance of Cam changing

He’s still only a marginally competent OC and he’s obviously got pictures on Harbs so he’s not going anywhere as long as Harbaugh remains head coach. Go Ravens beat Pats!

by Smiley4660 on Jan 15, 2012 6:24 PM EST up reply actions

youre daffy duck

Never, ever, throw a deep pass on 2nd and 10. Cam did that at least three times yesterday.

I love it knowing that there are a handful of Ravens fans in this area who despise the fact that Joe will be our QB for the next 10 years. --Mr. MaLoR

by jackmca on Jan 16, 2012 1:05 PM EST up reply actions

Good game by the Texans to keep it close.

I really like Foster, and he and Andre put up some nice numbers today. Yates would have outplayed Flacco, but those three INTS made the difference in this game.

And Ravens4Life, I agree completely. Cam needs to go.

by Steven_G on Jan 15, 2012 4:30 PM EST reply actions

I briefly saw his number

completions was close I think he was 19 for 37, Joe was 16 for 31 somewhere in that ballpark and the Texans had maybe 10 more yards overall. But Joe threw two touchdowns (set up by the Defense). Flacco drives me crazy becasue he looks absolutely brillant on one play, then makes terrible decisions the next. But to his credit, not a single turnover all game, though there was a heart stopper here and there. I was impressed by yates, when he wasn’t throwing to Ed Reed.

by Steven_G on Jan 15, 2012 4:41 PM EST up reply actions

Right? That 3rd inches play where leach was lined up behind flacco and rice was down in the three point position, wtf was that? That made me more mad then any of Camerons other play call cuz it was just the cherrythe on top of his stupid playcalling throughout

by Ravens4Life on Jan 15, 2012 4:37 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

Cam is an incompetent OC...

But he’s now led 13 wins for us… I hate the guy with a passion but the Ravens just keep eeking those victories out. Go figure…

by Smiley4660 on Jan 15, 2012 6:27 PM EST up reply actions

But it's the victories he cost us that kill us

we’d be playing in Baltimore next week if he didn’t fuck up a couple games for us. Same thing happened last year, he costs us games which costs us home field, which potentially costs us a Super Bowl.

by YeahDonnie on Jan 15, 2012 6:29 PM EST up reply actions

Totally agree.

But I try to lighten up on my Cam anger after an intense victory. Just exhausted, ya know! He-he

by Smiley4660 on Jan 15, 2012 6:32 PM EST up reply actions

I'll never lighten up on him

until he’s gone. But because our players succeed despite him, he’s probably here to stay. If only a team was dumb enough to hire him as a head coach.

by YeahDonnie on Jan 15, 2012 7:17 PM EST up reply actions

But because our players succeed despite him, he’s probably here to stay.

Why does that sound so familiar to me?

Can I get some hot sauce for my doughnut?

by FrankWyt on Jan 15, 2012 7:24 PM EST up reply actions

Cam personally let the Texans back in the game. Up 17-3 starting the 2nd quarter he abandoned the run after ricky and ray had multiple 5-6 yard runs. He went three and out with three passes and rice not even on the field for the entire series. If he had just run the ball we would have taken all the steam out of the Texans and probably headed into 1/2 time with either 17-3 lead or better. He’s a menu OC and has no feel for the game situation. He kept putting Flacco in the worst situations at 3rd and long by passing on 1st down and running on 2nd. Thats not always a bad thing but with the pressure the Texans were bringing, i would milk the 17-3 lead and see what a pure run game would have brought us. It was starting to warm up….

by raven on Jan 15, 2012 11:51 PM EST up reply actions

Cam is Cam, but the reason I said that sounds familiar is because it’s the same thing for Steeler fans about Arians.

I dont think Cam bought the texans back in the game but since the o-line started to allow pressure get into flacco face, wideouts/tightends dropping passes and etc. It overall change the momentium on offense

We have proven that we can do it, and I don’t know that our team was this good a few years back. It will be an uphill battle, but I actually like the Ravens as underdogs, they always seem to play a bit harder that way.

sick to my stomach

Glad Our RAVENS won; however, scoring 3 points in just three quarters is unacceptable!!!! Starts with Cam Cameron putting Flacco in bad situations, such as “passing on 1st downs” and "running on 2nd downs. Flacco has to be more aware and stop holding the ball so long. Our O line has to block…Micheal Oher burns me up inside!!!! I don’t know if we can win with Cam Cameron and Joe being together…. After watching the game today I’m pretty convinced Cam hates Ray Rice.

Texans D is nasty… Flacco wins…often…cam seems detached and certainly needs a new job next season but Flacco is a stellar QB who is about to take Baltimore to indy for the big game… He will still be criticized but anyone with a modicum of football knowledge knows 5 is a Baller.

agreed

You’re right evan. " I belive in Flacco". …in my deion sanders voice lol. I think Flacco can very well take us to the promise land, but with Cam Cameron as the OC…..idk I really want Ray to get another win as well as Ed Reed.

Note: The defense can’t bail the offense out 3/4 quarters, we have to convert 3rd downs and keep our defense off the field as much as possible

by vazfynst1 on Jan 16, 2012 11:55 AM EST via mobile up reply actions

a lot of that starts with not getting into 3rd and 10 as often as we did, and that mostly falls on Cameron.

Flacco had a QB Rating of 97.1, so I have a hard time saying he played a bad game.

Flacco has to be more aware and stop holding the ball so long.

I love this stuff. It’s not Flacco’s idea to run verticals every single time. These plays take time to develop. So many of our plays are predicated around two verticals, and the receivers never make a second effort to get open if their route doesn’t work (except Boldin).
