Ravens waived Phillips for Gorrer

Not Surprised
We are a little light in numbers for CB’s and Phillips just didn’t give us anything extra over what we could get from some other team’s taxi squad, if we ever really needed it. But then, if we ever have to go that deep on the LB depth chart, we got bigger issues…

Disappointed
Phillips was solid when given the chance, a beast on ST and had potential. Haven’t seen anything from Gorrer, despite our lack of depth now at CB due to injuries.
Phillips admittedly, did have a problem staying healthy.

I know with Jimmy out and Carr banged up we’re a little thin, but do we really need Gorrer? We still have Cary, Foxworth, Webb, Chykie, and even Naku. IMO Phillips would contribute more on Special Teams then anything we’ll get out of Gorrer, and I’m not even a big Phillips fan.

well I think we had Cary who was cramping up last week, Foxworth I don’t think is completely healthy yet and Chykie isn’t proven yet either, so they are probably figuring the more bodies at CB the better.
On Ed Reed:

Ozzie may be planning on pursuing Phillips after this weekend, assuming nobody else picks him up.

Noooo!!!!
Let Arizona or Seattle or St. Louis or even San Fran grab ’em. We can do better. I, even today which is my 42nd birthday, could do better…

Happy Birthday! I’d have pegged you as a safety, though.

Thanks
Appreciate it.
When I did play, waaayyyy back in the day, I was a center and DE, then the other kids caught up to me size-wise, and I switched to being a soccer goalkepper.
For those of you that remember him, Rick Volk was my very first pee-wee football coach. At the time, I had no idea who he was other than a former Baltimore Colt. My dad, being a native Baltimorean, was pretty stoked, though.

Didn't we
Beat them in the playoffs as our last meeting? Or is this only regular season?
