An over/under on the number of series McKinnie plays Thursday night in Atlanta?
1.5 sound good?
I say that because of him being a veteran, I do not think he needs a whole lot of practice with the 2's and 3's. He needs to gel with the 1's, and they will only be out there a series or two, so no reason for McKinnie to be out there beyond the 1's.
If my reasoning is off, fire away!

McKinnie has to get a bunch of reps
With the first team o-line, so I expect him to play the first quarter at least, if not more. He needs not only the reps but to get his wind as well

He hasn’t played at all this preseason. He needs the work. Also, since we’re playing on Thurs., he’s going to get a couple more days off than in a normal week.

McKinnie, Grubbs, Birk, Yanda, Oher. This line could be Top 5, or Bottom 10. Only time will tell…

OLine
The reconstituted OLine needs to work together before the season opener. It would be the height of folly to put them together for the first time against Pittsburg. McKinnie is new and has not played during the preseason. Birk is recovering from an operation and has not played. Oher is moving to the RT position. Yanda has missed time during the preseason. Without reps together, these guys will not be ready for Pittsburg. Every projected starter on the OLine should play significant minutes if they are healthy. Birk is the biggest question mark. If he is not ready to go, stick in Mattison.
Starters get 2 series but Mckinnie has to stay in until he loses 15 pounds.

Don’t worry…Ray and Reed asked him to come. This is a winning team and he even said himself that he is very motivated. Only thing that could hinder him is injuries.
