Let's make Ray Rice a beast in Madden!

EA Sports and ESPN have combined to start a new competition called Club100. For 5 different positions, someone will be given the coveted "100" overall rating for a certain attribute. Yesterday, voting was open for QB accuracy, with Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers and Drew Brees up for the title. Tuesday (today's) August 23rd's vote is for the running back that can be named the most elusive back in the game.

Ray Rice is one of the backs up for debate. LETS GET HIM A 100 RATING!

Check it out here

The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

this whole thing seems sketchy at this point. Now they are letting the fans decide what rankings players get? Isn’t the point of the game to be realistic and not just let bandwagon fans decide where a player is ranked?

by Mstevens_Design on Aug 23, 2011 6:56 PM EDT reply actions

it is realistic

All of the backs in the discussion are the top most elusive backs in the game.

Tomorrow we vote on his power! So vote for Ray Lewis!

I just don’t feel good about it. If it barely affects anything, then why should anyone vote? I know its all marketing, but it just seems shady to me and it takes away whatever legitimacy that Madden had to begin with.

Is there a ranking for fumbling in the playoffs?

That’s not a good look.

To bad there’s not a category for “Cheesy ass smile”, or “crying like a little bitch” in Madden, because Ward would easily run away with those two.

Only fumble all season and he was ill during the game.

Is there a ranking for rapists or dirty hitters? (Yeah I know, but what can I say, I love the classics)

by Roa on Aug 23, 2011 11:06 PM EDT up reply actions

Did I hit a soft spot ravens?

awe he was ill, too bad he coughed up your playoff win over the Steelers! Hurts don’t it?

All yinz weak-ass rape jokes won’t make it go away! How about make fun of something that happened on the field? The moron YeahDonnie tried, but he forgets Ben already has one of the most clutch game winning drives in Superbowl history. And another ring too.

And regarding Ward handing ravens their asses all the last decade, we’re proud of that, so try again!

But Baby Ben couldn’t come up with it last season now could he? Where was your vaunted clutch QB there? Or where was your “playmaking” Pro Bowl Saftey? Oh was he hurt? BUt that had to suck after all the trash you must have been talking all year to miss by just that much.

their clutch dude was busy with rookie tunnel vision… staring down wallace and trying to force a ball where it didn’t fit…

i can’t decide which clutch play i liked the most… the clutch bomb he never should have thrown that gave the packers a TD… or the clutchness on the last drive where he forgot how to read D and go through his progressions

by Evan Skev on Aug 24, 2011 11:32 AM EDT up reply actions

I actually liked the clutch fumble by Mendenhall. This guy is yapping about Rice coughing it up, but that fumble by Mendenhall was the most critical turnover of the entire game in my opinion.

2nd place is the first loser, glad Pittsburgh fans are satisfied with that it seems.

Good job bragging about a play the Superbowl Champion Packers made.

Anything in the Steelers ravens games to brag about? You could brag about housh and his clutch catch in round one I guess.

Maybe Suggs’ strip sack and TD. Or Rice’s TD run after Troy whiffed on a tackle.

Are you talking about the weird play in the beginning of the playoff game?

That play should have been a personal foul. Suggs clearly hit Ben’s helmet. Oh wait forget about the rule BR865.f8, the ‘kick the shit of out Big Ben in 2010’ rule.

The Rice TD would have been humiliating without the W.

I give you a + .5

Get ya game up the season’s starting soon! God damn it malor I can’t wait.

Well I can also recall Ngata and Suggs putting your love child Pouncey on his ass a few times.

we need to be honest and admit Pouncey's gonna get even better

However he has awhile to go before he can stop ‘bruce lee’ ngata.

“Did I hit a soft spot Ravens?”

Well you did come to a Ravens site and started running your mouth about our most recent playoff loss. The shame of having the Steelers up against the wall, only to let them take it away from us in the 2nd half still lingers in all of us. But I guess until we can beat the biggest bandwagon team in all of pro sports, their fair-weather fans have the right to run their mouths.

Stay classy Pittsburgh, see you Week 1.

You’ve added nothing of substance. But thanks for admitting how horrible that playoff loss was ravens fans. It’s gratifying. Halftime sucked for me.

With regards to being classy, it totally sucks that we won’t be invited to your tea party! What a tired, lame retort. I’ve seen better from you. I guess we all need to warm up a bit.

you were referencing ONE GAME to try to disparage Ray Rice, so I referenced ONE GAME that Ben didn’t play so great….it just happened to be the most important game of all. I won’t deny the success Ben has had or the amount of amazing clutch plays he’s made. I’m only saying if you wanna insult a player over one game, you gotta be prepared to admit Ben fucked up in the Super Bowl last year.

I just wanted to insult ray rice. I do think he’s a decent back. Not sure if you noticed I used his words from when he ran his mouth about Ward. I don’t like ray rice and I enjoy speaking ill of him.

Ben certainly didn’t play his best game in February but the Packers really took the trophy and there wasn’t much the Steelers could do about. It sucks but I won’t try to take away from their victory.

yup and he couldnt use that to even beat the packers damn those packers all that green and yellow blowing pass the steelers secondary and that long hair dude tackling Rashard Menden fumb . what was that man name again? Oh yeah it was Cassey Matthew (hold Up) it was Clay Matthews lol got darn that long hair guy and how dare he tackle Menden fumb like that to fumble the ball.

Even if Rice did win the votes, EA would probably still screw him over and give him 100 in “Swagger”……whatever the hell that is.

funny how brady’s never been on the madden cover,he would have been a better option to peyton hillis (but i gues after all the brownies have been thru we have to throw them a bone).anyway, they need to stop leting fans decide this shit.its gona mess the ratings up

by purple_reign2011 on Aug 25, 2011 9:05 AM EDT reply actions

THe Patriots are a polarizing team for many people and EA doesn’t want the player they put on the cover to influence people’s purchases.

Wasn’t Michael Vick the runner up for the game cover?

True

This year they had it be part of a fan vote, I was talking about more in the past.

If they leave to the fans then I wouldn’t be surprised to see more variety on the cover.

I think it’s because a lot of players turn them down as well. I know Peyton Manning has turned them down a few times and I’m guessing Brady was asked, but probably denied them as well.

The big name guys would cost to much to put on the cover. EA doesn’t even ask them anymore.
