The Baltimore Ravens conducted their final Training Camp practice session that media was permitted to attend this week. The team will conduct a private walk-thru with no one outside the organization in attendance on Wednesday prior to Thursday night's pre-season opener at the Philadephia Eagles.
From the latter portion of Tuesday's sessin that I witnessed, the players seemed as bored as the assembled media. Special Teams was on the docket and they were practicing kickoff coverage and returns, as well as their squib and onsides kicks. With WR David Reed still not practicing, CB Lardarius Webb, rookie WR Tandon Doss and undrafted free agent rookie RB Damien Berry returned the kicks.
The team has used every minute of their three hour practices within the confines of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement governing what teams can and cannot do with Training Camp practices. However, this afternoon, the weather ended practice about 20 minutes early, signalled by a crack of thunder that had head coach John Harbaugh ordering the blast of the horn to end practice and send the players into the building.
