With the talent we have right now, if we had to start the season tomorrow I think we would be great. Hear me out guys. Last year we made it to the conference championship game with average undersized corners and a poor pass rush. Right tackle was a patch job luckily we could slide Yanda over. Our receivers were not explosive at all.
This year we are coming into the season with Torrey Smith, speaks for himself. David Reed will be getting more touches. Tandon Doss has good speed with arguably the purest hands in the draft. Ed Dickson will be able to bring speed to the passing game from the tight end postion.
Jah Reid is already getting high praises at the right tackle position. He brings size and aggression to the tackle spot like Oher during his rookie year. I know its early but i feel confident against the Pitt pass rush. I can only imagine how he will impact the run game with a 6'7" 330 lb frame.
Foxworth is back and healthy, whom I think is better than Carr. Jimmy Smith at 6'2" 205 will make a major impact which I believe is better than Wilson. Webb will make strides this year, actually being able to focus on his technique instead of rehabbing. He played well last year, just too bad for him he was the one that was beat deep at a pivotal point last yr. I am excited to see what Cary Williams will bring with more time on the field.
Jarret Johnson after getting his pay day had a POOR season last year. Kindle falling down the steps hurt us bad. KIndle is ready to go and will bring a burst off the edge opposite Suggs. Sizzle put in work like a boss last year. Ngata did great with 5 sacks. Kruger made progress last year. I would be painfully surprised if JJ had another down year. Suggs will wreak havok once again. We added McPhee to the DE position. Terrence Cody will be starting which adds great size and strength, also will free up the other players around him, which will be major. Last year he was slowed down by his knee injury. He came on well during the playoffs. With him being in better shape and healthier....Wow is all that is left to say.
With this infusion of youth, speed, and size we will take the next step and that is a Super Bowl run.
