Harbaugh on Bears trade snafu: "It wasn't a mistake. They knew what they were doing."

Harbaugh goes in on Jerry Angelo and the Bears front office. A Bears "team official says "We've moved on months ago." Wow--easy for them to say. This whole thing just never passed the smell test to me. I don't think the accounts have really been consistent from their side on what exactly happened either. Best case scenario they just changed their minds and decided they didn't want to go through with the trade.

They left the Ravens out to dry and made one of the savviest organizations on draft day look like fools on national television. And let's be honest, they never seemed terribly broken up about it.

"Sources familiar with the situation said at the time that Angelo delegated the responsibility of calling in the trade to a pair of team staffers, who didn't take care of the matter because each thought the other one had done it."

Really?

The Bears get ONE pick on ONE night of the draft, and they're trying to say that they just up and had a miscommunication? What else could possibly have been more important at that point in time? Did the first staffer go and take a piss and the second staffer assumed the first was calling in the trade? That just insults our intelligence.

Our players have plenty of rivalries, but I like that this one involves both the coaches and the front office. Too bad I don't see the Bears sniffing the SB this year, so we probably won't see them. Maybe 2012.
