Kirwan Ranks Ravens' Suggs Bottom Of Pass Rusher List

Pat Kirwan of NFL.com ranked the pass rushers in groups of five, from "A" to "E" in his latest positional rankings. In a story from Football News Now, Kirwan ranked 25 of the league's pass rushers, including both 4-3 defensive ends, 3-4 DE's as well as outside linebackers.

Unfortunately, but not surprising to fans of the Baltimore Ravens, Kirwan continues to ignore the solid play of their key players, with Terrell Suggs being no different. Despite Suggs' 11 sacks in 2010 when he single-handedly pressured the opponent's quarterbacks, he is penalized for his lackluster numbers the prior year when he only tallied 4.5 sacks.

Suggs was placed in Kirwan's "E" grouping along with Tennessee end Jason Babin, Minnesota end Ray Edwards, St. Louis end James Hall and San Francisco end Justin Smith. These five, including T-Sizzle, were far behind the "A" group of Pittsburgh outside linebacker James Harrison Minnesota end Jared Allen, Indianapolis end Dwight Freeney, Chicago end Julius Peppers and Dallas outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware.

I think he just really, really hates the Ravens. All over the league, players and media people have voted our guys as the best in the NFL, top 20 players of all time, best at their positions (Ray, Reed, Ngata), said we are sure fire superbowl contenders, yet EVERY list that this clown has made has put our best players in the average category. Kirwin thinks we are just an average team.

Flacco's first 3 years vs. Brady's, Manning's and Brees' first 3 years

Flacco threw for just 21 fewer passing yards than Brady and tossed four fewer interceptions. Flacco threw for 1,655 more yards than Brees, two more touchdowns and four fewer picks. Manning, who averaged 88 more passes per season, threw for way more yards and touchdowns than Flacco, but also tossed 24 more interceptions.

He's not a professional

his personal like or dislike of a team shouldn’t sway his writing. You have to give credit where it’s due, and as someone who gets paid to write, if you start writing bullshit like he does, people lose respect quick and stop reading.

Suggs is an all-around stud. Some of the guys on Kirwan’s list are very one dimensional. I’ll take Sizzle’s versatility any day.

Suggs was one of the most dominant defenders in the NFL last year
