Ozzie personally mentioned Mount Cody as his breakout player for next year, and I and others have thrown David Reed into that conversation. What about Art Jones? He barely played last season because he was caught up in the depth chart numbers, along with some injury problems. Kelly Gregg, one of my all-time favorites, has maybe one year left if he even makes the team out of training camp. I know it's impossible to judge any players at these bullshit player-organized workouts, but I read that Art looked a lot leaner and quicker possibly due to offseason MMA training with his brother who fights on that circuit. Pass rush has been a big problem the past couple of seasons, primarily from the inside of the defensive line. Jones was projected at one point to be a second round pick, but slid to the fifth because of injuries at Syracuse. If he gets some playing time, he could provide some badly needed pressure from the d-tackle spot. With a year under his belt in the system coupled with his presence at the mainly offensive player-orchestrated workouts at Towson last week, Jones could be ready to make a big impact.
