Ravens-Steelers Playoff Ranked 13th Best Game Of 2010

The NFL Network is counting down the Top 20 games of the 2010 NFL season and rank the divisional playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens at the Pittsburgh Steelers the 13th best game of the year. Unfortunately, the Ravens blew a two touchdown halftime lead and lost late in the game on a long pass by Steeler QB Ben Roethlisberger on third and long that put Pittsburgh inside of the Ravens five yard line with minutes left in the contest.

It was the third meeting of the two AFC North teams last season, the second time in three years that the two had met twice in the regular season and again in th playoffs. In 2008, Pittsburgh won all three meetings and last season the two split the two regular season games before meeting in Pittsburgh in the post season for the second time in three years.

The Ravens had late leads in both losses, losing the game on big plays both times. In the first game, the Ravens scored on an 18 yard Joe Flacco to T.J. Houshmandzadeh pass play in the final seconds. The second game had the Ravens ahead with three minutes left before Steelers safety Troy Polamalu forced a Flacco fumble leading to the Steelers go ahead score.

Hopefully, the 2011 season will start on time, as the Ravens host the Steelers on September 11, 2011, with a chance to get off on a good start gainst their hated arch-rivals.
