Mario Harvey is an ILB but would be a good UDFA signing either way.

As for UDFA OLBs that I’d hope the Ravens sign, I’d be looking at Keiser and Chinasa (who was drafted by the UFL last night) out of that group.

Another guy that might interesting is Keith Darbut (Baldwin-Wallace). There was a Ravens representative at his Pro Day where he put up very impressive explosion/straigth line numbers (4.38 40yd) but pretty average 3-cone and SS #s. Could be worth a shot as a speed rushing OLB

Pierre Allen would could potentially become a pretty good pass rushing 3-4 DE if he put on ~10lbs and I expect him to be in high demand once UDFAs can be signed. I was pretty surprised he wasnt picked in the draft.

I like Nebraska's Allen as well.

His size would seem to fit in our 3-4 defensive scheme.

Great job.

thanks I like Pierre Allen to he also has good character also was a team leader

hopefully the lockout ends soon because there really some talented undrafted players out there that seem to be way better than the veteran free agents

I don’t really know any of these guys.

I should know Friday from VT, but he doesn’t stick out for any particular play or game. If he’s been coached by Bud Foster and is a starter on that defense, I’d give him a shot in training camp at least.

UFL Draft

Only Chinasa was selected, by the Sacramento Mountain Lions, coached by former NFL coach, Denny Green.

I will be posting a story on the UFL Draft Wednesday.

Herzlich was taken in the 10th round by Omaha. Maybe he waits out NFL free agency and we grab him. I am all for bringing in any rookie pass rushers for a look-see.

As much respect as I have for Herzlich, he isn’t going to make that big of a difference in our pass rush. It is unfortunate because he was considered a first round pick at one point.

I know he’s not a pass rusher, but I’m sure he could give Phillps and Ellerbe a push in camp…

by JoshuaStein on May 3, 2011 3:14 PM EDT up reply actions

Mark Herzlich would be a inside linebacker I think he is perfect for that and I really

think he would benefit much learning from Ray Lewis they also both have that leadership quality that could be good for the other guys

Friday or Harvey. I’ve been real high on Harvey as a pass rusher from the ILB position. He could even kick out.

by BmoreRavensFan on May 3, 2011 4:15 PM EDT reply actions

He had a massive rep as a fresahman

but quietly fiizzled out from there, and his size will not fly in the NFL.

I don't know if I agree.

I think he’s had a productive college career especially when his teams had talent. Could be a good third down back, slot receiver, or punt returner, though he did KR in college. I think he’s worth a look at the very least

by E-ROC on May 4, 2011 10:36 PM EDT up reply actions

Agreed. I think he’s worth at least bringing in to look at.
